One is in the future and is living quite comfortably

One is stuck in the past still quietly in slavery

One is blind with success that’s why they can not see

One is seeing with the hope of what will eventually be

One is not aware that something’s wrong and swear that we are free

One is feeling abandoned and alone and are calling out for Thee

One is a forward thinker wondering how long this will last

One is a forward thinker but won’t look back to the past

One is in a movie and is part of a script and cast

One is in a movie and is ad-libbing having a blast

One is viewed as a turtle but they are really moving fast

One is seen as a lion slowly moving in a world that is vast

Both are different but are here in the same plane of existence

Both are tightly wound and coiled with an abundance of resistance

Both know that ‘Change Gon Come’ in one unplanned instance

Both have strength and courage and lots of natural insistence

Both are equipped with passion and large

amounts of persistence

Both see their penned paradise waiting off in the distance
