If something published here uses your work without permission, tell us and a person will look at it. You do not need an account to send a notice.

We do not take anything down automatically. Someone reads every notice, because a system that deleted things the moment it was asked would be a system anyone could point at anyone.

What a notice has to contain

The law sets out six things a copyright notice must include for us to be able to act on it. The form below asks for all six in order, so you do not have to know them. If something is missing it will tell you which one and why.

What work of yours is this about?

A title, a link to where you published it, a registration number — whatever identifies it.

Links are best. If something appears in several places, list them all — we act on what you identify.

If your work is removed and you disagree

We email whoever posted the material when we remove it, and they can dispute it. If they do, the law requires us to pass their response — including their name and address — to the person who sent the notice, and to restore the material unless a court case is started. That cuts both ways, which is why we ask you to be sure before you send.

People who do it repeatedly

Accounts that repeatedly post other people’s work lose access to 432 The Drop. This is not a formality we wrote down and forgot — it is applied.

Sending a notice you know to be false can make you liable for damages, including legal costs. If somebody has shared an intimate image of you rather than infringed your copyright, use this page instead — it is faster and it is the right one.
