Refunds and Cancellation
In effect from 11 October 2026
Leaving should be as easy as arriving. Nothing here requires you to phone anyone, explain yourself, or click through a page asking you to reconsider.
Who takes the money
It depends which door you came through, and that is worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to work it out.
If you pledged on Patreon, Patreon does: it charges your card, holds the payment relationship, and applies its own refund rules. We cannot charge you or refund you directly.
If you subscribed on this site, we do. Stripe processes the payment for us, but the money and the decision are ours, so everything below that says “we decide” is something you can hold us to. We never see or hold your card details either way.
How to cancel
A Patreon pledge is cancelled on Patreon, in your membership settings for 432 The Drop Radio. It takes effect on their side straight away and there is nothing you need to do here.
A subscription bought on this site is cancelled on this site, under Your membership in your account menu. Two clicks, no questions, and no page asking you to reconsider. If you would rather we did it, write to [email protected] and we will.
You do not need our permission either way. If Patreon makes it hard, tell us and we will help you get it done.
What happens to your access
Patreon normally keeps you a patron until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we follow their answer rather than second-guessing it. So cancelling usually leaves you with the time you paid for.
When Patreon tells us your support has ended, access ends the next time we check, and in any case within 35 days. We would rather be a few days late closing a door than shut somebody out who is still paying.
A subscription bought here ends when the period you paid for ends, and you keep the time you paid for.
If a payment fails rather than being cancelled, access ends straight away. There is no grace period. We would rather tell you that here than have you discover it at a locked door, and nothing you have posted is touched by it.
What happens to your account
Nothing is deleted. Cancelling ends your membership, not your account. Your profile, your posts and your place in the chat are all still here, and rejoining puts you straight back in rather than starting you over.
If you want the account gone as well, that is a separate request and we will do it — the Privacy Policy covers what deletion means. Deleting your account here does not cancel your Patreon pledge, so do that first or you will keep being charged for something you cannot reach.
Refunds
If you pledged on Patreon, Patreon decides refunds under the policy published on their site. Ask them first — that is not us passing you along, it is where the money is.
If you subscribed here, we decide, in writing, within five working days. No form, and no requirement to explain yourself.
If you were charged because something on our side went wrong, or you were told you had access and did not, tell us at [email protected] and we will take it up with Patreon on your behalf and see it through. A person answers.
When we bill you directly
These were written down before this site took its first payment, and they apply from the first day rather than from whenever somebody complains:
You see the price, the billing period, and that it renews until you cancel, before you pay — on the join page, and again on Stripe’s own screen above the button that takes the card. Nothing is ever ticked for you in advance; the payment itself is the consent, and we treat nothing else as consent.
A charge you did not intend, reported within fourteen days and with the membership unused, is refunded in full.
Membership here is monthly, so there is no annual renewal to warn you about. If an annual option ever exists, you will get a reminder in time to do something about it.
You can cancel in the same place you signed up, online, in two clicks, without speaking to anybody.
