Refunds and Cancellation
In effect from 1 September 2026
Leaving should be as easy as arriving. Nothing here requires you to phone anyone, explain yourself, or click through a page asking you to reconsider.
Who takes the money
Patreon does. Membership here runs on your Patreon pledge: Patreon charges your card, holds the payment relationship, and applies its own refund rules. We never see your card details and we cannot charge you or refund you directly.
That shapes everything below, so it is worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to work it out.
How to cancel
Cancel your pledge on Patreon, in your membership settings for 432 The Drop Radio. It takes effect on their side straight away and there is nothing you need to do here.
You do not need our permission, and you do not need to tell us why. If Patreon makes it hard, tell us and we will help you get it done.
What happens to your access
Patreon normally keeps you a patron until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we follow their answer rather than second-guessing it. So cancelling usually leaves you with the time you paid for.
When Patreon tells us your support has ended, access ends the next time we check, and in any case within 35 days. We would rather be a few days late closing a door than shut somebody out who is still paying.
If a payment fails rather than being cancelled, you keep full access for fourteen days from your last successful charge, so a card that expired does not lock you out while you fix it.
What happens to your account
Nothing is deleted. Cancelling ends your membership, not your account. Your profile, your posts and your place in the chat are all still here, and rejoining puts you straight back in rather than starting you over.
If you want the account gone as well, that is a separate request and we will do it — the Privacy Policy covers what deletion means. Deleting your account here does not cancel your Patreon pledge, so do that first or you will keep being charged for something you cannot reach.
Refunds
Because Patreon takes the payment, Patreon decides refunds, under the policy published on their site. Ask them first — that is not us passing you along, it is where the money is.
If you were charged because something on our side went wrong, or you were told you had access and did not, tell us at [email protected] and we will take it up with Patreon on your behalf and see it through. A person answers.
If we ever bill you directly
We do not take card payments on this site today. If that changes, these apply from the first day and we are writing them down now rather than afterwards:
You will see the price, the billing period, and that it renews automatically, before you pay. Consent will be a box you tick yourself — never one already ticked for you.
You will be able to cancel in the same place you signed up, online, in a few clicks, without speaking to anybody.
You will get a reminder before an annual renewal, in time to do something about it.
A charge you did not intend, reported within fourteen days and with the membership unused, will be refunded in full.
